Our History

Reliable Management has been serving property owners and investors since 1972.  Ernest Phillips established the company in Longview, Texas.  Pate Greening and John Spivey acquired Reliable Management after many years of service to Reliable Management and Ernest Phillips.   Mr. Phillips is a Real Estate Broker and Certified Property Manager.  He is currently retired but still a great inspiration for our company.  

Kathy Scott went to work for Reliable Management in 1994 where she managed property for a number of years.  Kathy, Pate, and John partnered together to bring the awesome realty services of Reliable Property Management to College Station/Bryan, TX.  Keller Williams is Kathy’s broker for real estate sales. 

Reliable Management specializes in residential and multi-family sales and management in Central and East Texas.    We offer you lifetime careers in real estate, with over 100 years of combined experience.

Reliable Real Estate and Management is a member of the Texas Apartment Association in Longview and Bryan/College Station, the National Apartment Association, and the Texas Board of Realtors. We are also a member of the Longview Chamber of Commerce.  Mr. Greening has served on the TAA Board of Directors since 1996. He also served as president of the Greater Longview Area Apartment Association from 1998 to 2000 and again in 2002.

Our team in Longview has won numerous awards including TAA Property Manager of the Year, Assistant Manager of the Year, Member of the Year, and Maintenance Tech of the Year several times over.  Kathy Scott was awarded 2009 BCSAA Property Manager of the Year through the B/CS Texas Apartment Association.  ReliableLeasing.com was recognized as a favorite place on Google for 2009.
