Before obtaining her real estate license Kathy successfully managed and supervised multi-family properties, participated in multi-family and investment due diligence, market evaluations, and purchases including conventional and student properties.
Her career started in 1990, and since then she has managed over 5,100 units, supervised numerous team members, and reviewed well over 20,000 contracts. Her greatest joy in property management was having the opportunity to oversee “Flipping Communities” by taking distressed properties, reconstructing them, and then aggressively reimaging the community and increasing revenue.
A real estate innovator, Kathy has a thorough understanding of student and conventional markets, and has the knowledge to assess properties and their values. Having many years of experience marketing property, Kathy incorporates her experience in understanding the target market, along with excellent photography, home staging, and a thorough appreciation for details to successfully facilitate sales and/or property management transactions.
Kathy and her family have been around Aggieland for a long time! Her grandparents moved to Navasota in the 1960’s. Her grandmother was one of the first female Graduate students at Texas A & M University, graduating in 1967. Kathy made her home in Aggieland when she married her husband, Neil Scott.
Neil and Kathy have six boys ranging from 5 years old to 20 years old. When Kathy isn’t working she’s usually on a ball field or outdoors with her family. Seth (age 5) plays T-ball. Trent (age 11) enjoys C.A.M.P. at Texas A & M University and will show steers for the first time at the Brazos County Fair in 2011. Chase (age 15) plays high school football and shows steers in Fort Worth, Houston, and Brazos County. Trevor Austin (age 19) attends Blinn College. Rob (age19) attends A & M Consolidated and works with his dad. Aaron (age 20) attends Iowa State University on a football scholarship.
